BTW, the word is actually 'poseur'. It's French.
How do you like them pommes?
Wow, are you French?
or can you speakk French?
Nah, but I've been taking lessons from tcp_ML500.[;)]
French is fairly difficult, although not as arduous as slavic, or oriental languages.
Mostly, Americans fail miserably at learning not the rules, but gender, and diction/pronounciation.
Jillian has performed admirably in both. I wish I could take credit, but she's worked really hard, especially on diction.
The trick is actually in re-educating your facial muscles, mostly lips, and your tongue, to form sounds that you have never formed before.
usually, this task is difficult after the age of 6.
I perfected a teaching technique.
The first 30 minutes are devoted to french kissing, this works wonder on the orbicular muscles of the lips. I use my tongue to direct hers to the correct position for different sounds. Inflections are worked on through praticing moaning, various intensity. Finally, the guttural "r"! That one is tricky, and involves different oral exercises which end up in gargarizing.
