RE: Richard Pryor Died

I have studied alot of the older comedians, and it is pretty sobering that alot of the comedians that I enjoy watching have passed away. It just makes me feel sad that they will not have any more material, but I can just imagine that they are on a stage in heaven performing in front of an audience. Atleast we have their great work to remember them by.

RIP:
Rodney Dangerfield
Richard Pryor
Chris Farley
John Belushi
Andy Kaufman
Slim Pickens

I wasn't a Chris Farley fan but about 2 weeks before he died a friend of mine saw him. I guess I can say this because the guys dead. It was at a recovery program meeting here in Toronto.

He said Chris was sweating profusely and "looked like shit." then 2 weeks later was dead. My friend told me he wasn't surprosed.

So sad. I may not have been a fan, but that doesn't mean I hate the guy or anything. I find it sad that it appears he was seeking help and may have lost the battle. (I don't remember the particulars of how he died..) I got the impression from the conversation that he had come across as a nice guy.

At least Pryor got through his crap and seemed happy enough the last few decades. Take care up there Richard. (Jesus, Old St Peter is gonna have a heart attack!)

Man. I'm so bummed. I'm gonna go have a Coke and a smile and shut the fuck up.[V]
I was sad to hear about Richard Pryor, but he's had a tough life (most of which was brought on by his own conduct...).
He was, however, a really funny, creative guy. He also started a dramatic change in comedy with his routines.

Jillian, I'm sure you knew you quoted Eddie Murphy; how many others here do you think did?[:D][:D]

In that Mruphy is the true comedic child of Pryor, is that really a problem. They are probably the most talented pair of stand up comedians ever.

I feel so miserable without you; its almost like having you here.

wasnt he unwell for a while?

maybe something like alzheimers or another degenerative sorta brain disorder? parkinsons?

its no fun to hear that someone died, never gets easier.

i am almost sure he had no regrets, though. no missed chances and all that, he seemed like a pretty busy guy, huh?
His death had been reported at least 5 times over the last decade.

RE: Richard Pryor Died

Because his death was repeatedly falsely reported from Hollywood,he came to refer to himself as
Richard 'I ain't dead yet!'Pryor as part of his routine.

Well you fucking well are now mate,so there goes your act.

RE: Richard Pryor Died

I remember the skit that he did with Chevy Chase on Saturday night live. He was funny!!!

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
