RE: iMac Mini!
ive owned apple computers since the SE was only a few years old(still works-- built in america[:)])
the imac g5 is a good computer, ive had one since the announcement and its not so much as hiccupped the whole time.
its got a dvd burner, bluetooth, a gig of ram and an 1800mhz g5. 17" model. i have a firewire tv tuner(eye tv 200) and it records/works as a tivo system. then you run a video/audio feed to the home entertainment center.
it is remote controlled so you just pick what you want to watch(mine is inelegant compared to the new imacs, but ive been using mine a year...) or listen to.
great machine, get the refurb(special deals) they have the same warranty as new machines, come with restore disks and are elligable for applecare extended warranty(another must)
the mini will work with what you have and is about 500 bux for a basic model. if you want to try the mac platform, but dont want to spend w123 chassis car money to do it, the mini is the machine to go with.
g3 imacs are cheap as hell right now.
