Took time off from BW over the weekend so that I could get things done in and around the house and still find time to mind the family.
Finally caved in and bought a Dyson vacuum - that thing really SUCKS (and for a vacuum, it's a good thing [:)])
Straddled over a water heater in a cramped boiler room, installing shutoff valves with drain into plumbing lines leading to washer using a blowtorch in hand was quite nerve racking. If I dropped the blowtorch, there was no way I could get it back in time before it ignited something, and even if I did manage to take the flame out, the room would be filled with butane gas... many buildings have burned down that way including those placed on National Historic Register.
Felt somewhat like one of the poor sailors from K-19
but the real highlight of the weekend was seeing a 300SL Roadster actually being driven on the road - and my, what sweet sound does the engine make! Had to follow it and as the driver pulled up for gas, I could not help but to pull over too and admire it[:p]
Original paint and original upholstery, I was too awed to check the odometer.
Signal red w/ black leather, just like below
