Not exactly like anyone is asking for radical change here, just a more balanced plan. We still want the USA first, but want it in a way that doesn't alienate us from the rest of the world. The world matters ya know.
It does matter, Shane. I appreciate your position on humanity. Candidly, I share it.
Where I think we diverge on the issue of terrorists is that they have ceased to be human or at least act like humans. They fight for their cause by targeting the young, the innocent and women for political/social gain. They have no regard for any moral code but that which they interpret from their holy scripture. They are the religious zealots of which the left and the right ought to beware and willing to defeat with any effective tools at hand.
Moral high ground is irrelevant. The world's population of humans is irrelevant. Right is irrelevant. Left is irrelevant. Bush is irrelevant.
What I am saying is that we had better get our act together and unite against this Islamic terrorist threat or we will be dead or we will be assimilated.
I have asked before, a question which has to now remained unanswered by those to whom I posed it. I'll answer it now first by restating it, 'When will the terrorists begin beheading women, children and innocents within out borders?
Answer: when they believe they can do it and not reap the whirlwind.
Translation: were they do kidnap a sixteen yr. old girl in these United States and do to her what they did in Indonesia (refer to the pics in other threads), the people here would rise and authorize ANY recourse that would guarantee annihilation of terrorists and those who harbor/promote them.
The only time this would not happen is if the American people were either so dumbed down or so jaded that such an atrocity would go unrecognized for what it is. I believe that time is coming and that certain activities by the left for political gain are accelerating it
