RE: Gas prices

$2.38 for premium unleaded at Shell. I mean before the war in Iraq and before the hurricanes. I could say before all the Chicken Littles saying that oil will reach $100 a barrel.

RE: Gas prices

do you remember what diesel was priced at?

my mother and i will be traveling to ohio in the next week or two and it would be nice if fuel were cheaper.

we live in alabama, you see... and they have kept our fuel a bit higher than the national average since this thing started.

at one point, we were paying the most in the nation, but this was a skewed report-- it averaged commuting distance, income and fuel prices. i know those californiaites pay more, but their wages are astronomical as compared to ours.

Get your excel spreadsheet from the Department of Energy, weekly prices are indicated for most all gasoline formulations, since 1990. Check the prewar prices for the national (or your state's) averages 2.5 years ago, and you'll see they are substantially lower than today's.

If, however, these statistics do not agree with your political agenda, feel free to ignore them and ask for forgiveness this Sunday, I'll grant it to you. God damn, I'm not supposed to tell you what'll happen, sorry.

I have not seen the local price below $2.00 on premium unleaded in the last 5 years, so I wonder if those prices in the report includes the local gas taxes?

I have seen Chevron 93 (endorsed by deities for its Techron additive's gentleness on their German automobile's power plants) below $2.00 less than 2 years ago (deities keep receipts and stats in Excel)

If gas cost $2.38 a gallon in your area before the war, you must live in Argentina.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

RE: Gas prices

Oil hitting 100$ a barrel is inevitable. Thats the wonder of the oil biznezz! The less there is, the more we want it!
