I do fault this administration on several points; their failure to control the borders, and their runanwy spending. That doesn't mean I want to bring them down.
Howver, I do not promote undeserved criticism, even of my opponents. The whinning over the FEMA response was grossly overblown. Some of the blame goes to FEMA, but the greatest portion of the blame lies at the local incompetence. For comparison, look at Missippi--same hurricane and the same Gulf Coast. Massive destruction, but it was sucessfully handles. Why? Look to the state and local officials.
Hell, the Mayor didn't even use his own emergency plan. The evacuation plan required something like 70 hours, and yet wasn't started until 24 hours before the hurricane hit.
Are you confident that her simple cry for "help" fulfilled the legal responsibility? I am not at all certain that that is the case. She seemed to positively refuse to understand the severity of the problem. As crieitcal as some of you guys are--you would be crying " Impeach Bush" if he violated the posse comitatus act. Damned if he did, damned if he didn't--thats an honest argument!
ps. What do you do with the glycerin that is produced in the biodiesel process?

I was wondering the same thing. When I asked for a quote, ol' 300D said he was comitted to sell all of his production to your friends, for your benefit, so it would not be so difficult for you to not criticize the current administration when they do what they do.[:D]

I am glad you are not blinded by the administration, and are open to criticism with the intent to improve. I do not believe the criticism of FEMA is overblown or even the slightest bit unwarranted.
I evaporate the methanol from the glycerine, then deposit it in the dumpster destined for landfill. The lye I use to make the biodiesel is potassium, not sodium. There is nothing non-biodegradable or systemic in the process, and even the fuel that is produced is non-toxic. If I get the motivation for a large garden again, I will compost the glycerine and use it there.
