How can the bus driver be responsible for the bus fire?

I think they should go after the company, not the driver.

I'd agree except the guy was told he had a problem with the rear brakes and pulled over earlier with one of the rear brakes glowing red hot. It's just a real bad deal...

Why do they always blame the pilot in a plane crash? Its because its his responsibility. Thats the trust the public must have in the pilot/driver.
Go after the company, too, if they were negligent. But if they took the bus out of service and he decided to drive it, its on him.

Standard procedure. Get the driver convicted to satisfy the publics outrage then go after the company in a civil suit for the real reason.......$$$

Yes it is a bad deal. The sad part is that if he stops and everyone died because of the hurricane, he still would get blame.

But that was some serious stop and go traffic. Even my SL500 get hot in stop and go traffic.

i learned how glowing red hot brakes are bad, from my father, when we bought a BMW 525e, in Muenchen, and had to drive it home up to Nuernberg, 100 miles away....

he bought it, with a stuck caliper.....being the genious that he is (for a MB Master Mechanic, he sure acts like a retard sometimes..), he INSISTED on trying to drive it home....

i REFUSED, so he had to drive...i had the "chase car" a 1,3 liter carborated Honda Civic...4 speed

we got 2 exits onto the autobahn, and his wheel (front pass., the one that was stuck) fell off.......

IT WAS SO HILARIOUS.....

he spun out, and drifted sideways, and came to a stop sidways, blocking the fast lane....

HA HA [:D]

i realize this doesnt sound super funny, hearing it like this, BUT I LAUGHED MY ASS OFF AT HIM!

a big I TOLD U SO!

Then the Autobahn Polizei drove up.......he got a fine, 1000 D-mark, for causing blockage on the autobahn.....

now, it was 2 in the am, and it was time to go, so the "master" decided to LEAVE THE CAR SITTING THERE!

then, instead of calling a wrecker, he decides "lets go home", so, we drove back home, and in the AM, he called for a wrecker.....they quoted him 500DM to tow it back, more than we paid for the car....

so, HE DECIDES TO LEAVE IT THERE.....

as far as i know, the car was towed off, by the Polizei, and they impounded it long enough, for him to not pay, then they sold it to someone else, to part out.....

so anyways, as far as the topic goes, if the driver was told about the problem, he is responsible for being a retard, and driving on....
