Umm, in an igloo how would the reptiles cope?
Wow! I knew NY was cold, but it must be colder than I thought... Stop providing little fur coats for the mice and they should freeze solid.

Chocolate is considered to be the best bait.Traps have to be placed tight to the edges of runs-mice very rarely stray away from a vertical surface-they feel their way around their territory, their eyesight being poor. They can enter and exit a hole the diameter of a standard pencil because they have flexible bones. They also never completely seal their bladders. They leak urine on a continuous basis and contaminate anything they pass over.[xx(]

I watched a Pied Wagtail
Ok, I seem to have missplaced all my original Audubon engravings. What the hell is a Pie-eyed Scally-wag or whatever you said?
Look at her avatar.

Great stuff everyone, keep it coming[:)]Caught one more sort of.Damn thing was on the counter[xx(]and corralled it behind the microwave and then shook the microwave until it scurried out.To my surprise it fell onto the floor where I proceeded to bludgeon it with an old spatula.[8D]The battle continues!!!

Cat idea sounds good but I think my black lab would
terminate it thus being counter productive[:D]

I wouldn't count on that -- if the cat survived the encounter, it would be due to the cat's speed and agility or the dog's good graces. Labs have been specifically bred for very high pain threshold and very little fear.
