Dieter Zetsche announces that Mercedes-Benz will lay off 8500 workers in Germany. All will be on a voluntary basis / retirement basis, spread over 12 months.
Edit: 12 months, not 112!
most of those workers will either take a "rest-of-your-life" vacation, (not that simple, u HAVE to be a Specialized Worker, (u know how to do a job thats complicated, and takes years to learn), and they have to be able to not find u another job, doing your skill) financed by the German Government, to the tune of 800 euro cash per month, and all living and food expenses paid....or they will go and work for VW-Audi, 30 minutes away, at Neckarsulm (formerly the NSU factory, now the most advanced aluminum working shop IN THE WORLD), or drive an hour over the Pegeuot factory, (which is HUGE, and builds trucks and cars, for all over the world...really busy) by Strassburg (france) (EU's Great, huh?)
i myself would settle for the vacation, and spend the rest of my days toking, and drinking beer, and going to discoteque's...........but thats just lazy old me...........
