I can actually see the nasty fucker now - it looks like it is coming in from due east, I thought I would see it coming in more from the South. I believe I am looking right at the outer rain bands. The wind is now coming in in big gusts. The eye is supposed to go over to our east at around 2AM. What a sucky time for a power outage.

They are currently reporting unexpected white caps in Galveston Bay, which is usually as smooth as glass. This is actually a good thing, because the more riled up it is the more resistant it will be to the storm surge. The bad news is all up in LA, they will be getting the worst surge and most of the rain. Not good for the new island Republic of New Orleans. Maybe they can make a deal with Castro and get annexed to Cuba.
OK, this'll be my second serious post for the day (I'm only allowed one a day by GermanStar, but what the heck)

Stay away from the glass. I was in my building when a tornado hit downtown over 4 years ago, the glass panes only flex so much before they explode without warning. Most of the glass was projected outside, but some made it in, along with the furniture being sucked out and some thrown inside. We took refuge in the stair well, it did not last long, but it was devastating. Rita is liable to spawn a few of these nasties, move away from the windows, find a wall enclosed room.
Like most Texas homes, mine has a "tornado closet", situated in the middle of the house. I have all my supplies marshalled and ready in there - food, water, guns, ammunition, dog food, a sharp knife in case I have to eat the dog, and a few Playboys.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

I am not, nor have I ever been, Shabah.

KV:
I've made my first important discovery as a result of my isolation. If you run out of coffee creamer, a tablespoon of vanilla ice cream not only makes a good substitute, it makes a hell of a good cup of coffee. Microwave the coffee first to make it boiling hot.

Shabah:
I don’t drink coffee with cream or sugar, that’s nasty.

KV take care and update us as soon as it is safe.

Actually, I was planning on using the urine to make gun powder. Some survivalist you are.
Won;t that deplete the O3 layer?
Actually, it contributes to "global snow yellowing".

Your eye is bothering one of Alfa's personalities. Please change it until he gets his meds "adjusted".

They are now estimating the storm surge in Clear Lake, a body of water that is neither clear, nor is it a lake, will be 4' to 6'. That means my Benx is safe, however I will be spending the night on top of the refrigerator.

Don't throw away the filters. Together with a handful of kitty litter, you'll be able to clarify your urine. You wont be able to drink it mind you but it beats just sitting around doing nothing.

Yeah I know. I had a Budget rent-a-truck full of potassium nitrate sitting in the garage and my damn wife used it all in the garden. Kind of took the wind out of my sails.

RE: Lovely Rita

She might be putting it in your coffee too. Don't worry, KV's Marvelous Member Cream can counteract the effects. Send me $50 and I will have restored to raging bull status in the matter of hours! Made with 100% "KV Water", which is produced naturally in a process I call "reverse dialysis"! Order it now through the easy to use Benzworld PM system!

I suggest you eat the hind shank first, not to tough. You can give the rest of the meat to your playboys you silly hedonist.
