Gloom and Doom

Lets see now...
Gas will be $25.00/gal soon!

N. Korea will export a small Thermonuclear device into the US and detonate it killing thousands and rendering a major city unfit for thousands of years

All manufacturing jobs will be exported overseas... The US becomes a major Service State, GNP falls!!!

Massive disease epidemic races across the nation killing millions!

The US Governmant collapses... Bankrupt from waging war in several mid-eastern countries!

The Sky is FALLING!!!!

etc, etc.
Will it happen? Who the H**l knows. The last time I looked, No one had found a magic crystal ball that tells the future. All I do know is there seems to be a lot of sensationalism regarding any topic of discussion concerning the state of affairs in the US. Mindless copy and pasting of news articles designed to stir the primal emotions and instill fear and paranoia serve to do nothing but further the hidden agenda of those who stand to profit from such responses. Get a grip! Do all you can to be a responsible steward of that you have been given charge over, and participate in the due process to change that which you deem untenable. Save the sensationalism to FOX News and CNN and the like...

Better yet, lets all get off our backsides and make things better, if only in our own homes... Volunteer in your churches and civic organizations, visit the elderly, give a kid a pat on the head, and be thankful that, perhaps tomorrow, another chance to do the same may present itself.

Where is it again that we are going... And why are we in a handbasket?

Better solution.

Blame Bush.

Go home and have a beer,

No problem.

I do have Bush to thank for my crystal ball. I never had one before he showed up.

Ron,

I liked the einstein avatars better... They provided an air of dignity to your posts...

Oh, he'll be back. I just felt like airing out the lungs for a few days. I think many of us see forums such as this as a venue to rant. I enjoy it for sheer entertainment value, if nothing else. I doubt if anyone here actually has similar conversations in real life, so I wouldn't take all of the gloom and doom posts too seriously. It's just a deranged, but harmless hobby. [:D]

Loose hips sink ships.

BTW, I used to buy used natural history books from Gary Waynor (Wayner?) whom I beleive hails from your home town. Been a long time since O corresponded with him but he was a great source for unusual books. I believe he is a high school science teacher in real life. Know him?

Beer for breakfast? Sounds like a recipe for gaining a few pounds.Try it with a Vodka top-you know it makes sense.

Vodka topper---makes perfect sense to me. I'll have to give it a try. BTW, is that a British thing or a Deathrattle thing? [8D]
Special Brew, I love you....
