RE: I have a difficult time understanding when a company makes $17 biilion in sales,

american industrialists and manufacturers must see the program called "Made In Germany" on DW-TV and "Made in Italy" on some italian channel.. they only bash and make fun of made in china stuff in both programmes..

why porsche couldnt be made in china when it will result in cheaper labour for the same build quality.. or by the maybach steel accessories are still hand made in germany and not in china???

i am not anti-china but somethings i will buy "made in euro / US anyday over made in china.. chinese ppl sure do manufacture great quality stuff but when it comes to legend.. its always symbolizes ones culture and country..

"My God! You're a.. a.. DEMOCRAT! OMG! Trapped in a Republican's body!"
Negative, negative, they will just impact on the surface.

There are republican's that believe in free tuition, just as I am sure there are some Democrats that don't believe in partial birth abortions.

I am not pro China either but I would not be surprised of their level of quality in their goods increases dramatically in the near future.
Time for the US to get off its arse and get to work!!

RE: I have a difficult time understanding when a company makes $17 biilion in sales,

The level of quality from China is dependent on who is running the factories. Most of the Chinese factories are actually owned and operated by Taiwanese and Japanese businessmen, who give the Chinese Communist Party a cut of the profits. China has them segregated in free-enterprise zones along the coast. In the interior of China, there are Chinese-run factories that make cheap junk. The Japanese-owned factories are making all kinds of sophisticated stuff, like advanced computers, etc, that the Chinese are learning all about. If we don't wake up, over the next twenty years, they will crush us economically.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

-President Barack Obama, 1st Inaugural address
