RE: What other cars are you into?

I've been obsessed with getting a Porsche lately. I nearly purchased an '02 C4S over the winter but held back for "practical purposes". I dream of aircooled 993 turbos, 996 GT3's or even a 951 done up nicely.

RE: What other cars are you into?

I would realy like to add a Corvette to my stable, preferably a '68-'72.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

That was my first car.

1) Would not start when cold
2) Would not start when hot
3) Would not start in humid weather
4) Would stop running when too hot, from there follow rule 2)

I can't tell you how many times I had to dried off the distribution and cleaned the carburetors.

It was a 1975 1500, really fun, easy to spin, college girls like it a lot, a good investment. I sold it to a friend and it is still running (when the atmospheric conditions are JUST right)

I feel so miserable without you; its almost like having you here.

RE: What other cars are you into?

I've always wanted a 1958 Plymouth Fury with which I could smite my enemies...

Thanks,

Jeff

Jeezus man, talk him out of it. One of the worst cars made IMO. My best friend had one in the 70s. He became my best friend because we spent a lot of time walking together to the nearest gas station when his Spitfire died. The MGBs of that era are vastly superior. If you are going to go Triumph, the TR4 was a fantastic car, as was the TR6. Myself, I drove Austin Healys during the British car craze days. Unfortunately, they now have become so expensive to buy and maintain, I would not consider owning one now, but they were by far the best.

Thanks for the advice, methaddled. I agree on the MG, MGB or MGAB. Maybe I'll Get Smart and Don one of those.
