RE: Texas GOP Fascists sign religious decrees into law at the church house
Robschaef - 6/9/2005 1:33 PM
Gloom and doom. Look out other red states the Christians are coming.
Do you really think Perry will serve another term? I am of the Republican Party you so often scathe. I don't stand for many of the things you post. Unless the Democrats fail to put up a decent candidate. I will not be voting for Perry.
Still all of that has nothing to do with him signing a bill in a Christian school. Big deal. It is a political stunt and the vast majority of educated Texans will see it for just that and hardly worth the effort of an elaborate discussion. Kvining, I fear that your living amongst Bubba in Pasadena has corrupted your idea of the common Texan.
Dude, I have an excellent idea what the common Texan is about.
Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.
