It ain't happening. That's like asking for everybody to be polite. There are lots of folks who believe being polite is a sign of weakness or diminishes their argument or is too much trouble. For whatever reason, they consistently choose rudeness.

Maybe it is not a choice, maybe they're just naturally so self-centered that being polite and consistency are for other folks.

Your exactly right, you fucking cunt.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

You said it Bot. I don't think a bit of politeness is too much to ask, but I suspect there are some egos around here who resort to profanity when dialogue fails them.

I completely agree. And more.

Much worse than cursing is when one person impugnes the integrity and character of another. It shouldn't happen. It is good to see that after a time it subsides. But I'll bet if character assasination returned in leiu of argument there'd be a lot more cursing, don't you think?
