RE: Congressional Tripping
Crossed lines of communication back there, though not that I really care...BTW, I'm not in the least bit bothered to be fingered as a liar, given that this is a virtual world populated by virtual people lobbing virtual allegations.
Bottom line: I think any time you intentionally cause the death of a person or persons you'd best have a rock solid case for doing so, especially when those actions are planned ahead of time. In this case is it's plain to see that the proponents of said killing made every attempt to shade, nuance and manipulate all the knowns, known unknowns, unknown unknowns and funny feelings, in order to promote a singular outcome; the hostile and unprovoked attack, invasion and occupation of an oil-rich sovereign nation--I don't think this or any government entity should operate in an ethical vortex designed to suit its immediate political aims, and I can't support any outcomes that stem from those questionable means.
I'm a politcal independent in large part because I've found that political power corrupts and distorts the perceptions of right and wrong amongst the various players and their intellectual, emotional and spiritual backers. I personally and fraternally gain nothing from my assertions, and based upon the facts as borne out over the last few years, simply cannot reach any other conclusions. My obvious bias against the current administration has consistently been reinforced via repeated attempts at overt
secrecy, obfuscations, and propagandistic distortions of its every position and action--even you cannot deny these statements of fact, though I suspect the usual dilutionary charge that "hell, they all do that".
I maintain high expectations for government despite a cynicism about its current and past incarnations, but most of all I do not suffer the foolishness of war unless it is absolutely and undeniably necessary. So far during my lifetime, war and all its bastard permutations has not once been necessary, just an all-to-convenient crutch to lean upon and distract Americans from their true task; enlightened inter/self-determination. War inspired nationalism keeps them in a child-like state, unable to self-manage and visioneer their own futures. Instead they rely a big brother to define their self image and grand collective purpose--that's fawking creepy to a libertarian like me...silly paranoid independent thinking me.
