RE: Forgive & forget?

I owned a '73 VW Thing--it was actually made in Mexico and constructed of very poor quality steel. American Jews should be even more disturbed by GM, Ford and other US-based corporation's involvement in Nazi profiteering. Capital loves to back any winning team, until they start losing.

I know a few of jewish families, and most of them recieved reparations. They all went out and bought new Audi's and VW's.

Nothing to forgive or forget. We are damn lucky we won. Every piece of military hardware, ships, planes, tanks etc. was superior to the allied stuff. Fortunately we had better luck and better follow through/

Those companies made products based on supply and demand. It is not there fault if some dictator used it for evil. I am surprised they did not go after the Russian companies, because there products killed more Jews.

Perhaps you remember that the German economy was in dire straits during the Weimar republic. You might even remember that the inflationary pressure was such that the Germaqn heavy industry suffered tremendous losses. You might also remember that some of these industrialists hated the failed republic (the treaty of Versailles is entirely responsible for the economic desolation of Germany 1918->1933). Most these industrialists financed Hitler to regain profitability, a bunch of them were NOT ignorant of the design of the despot. The statement "It is not there fault if some dictator used it for evil." is quite misleading.
If you were talking about GE, and other companies as described in an ealier post, it is fair to say that business being business, money being king, some American companies did lined their pockets regardless of the consequences of their financing Adolf. Some of them were aware, and sypathetic.
Heck, did not Charles Lindberg(h) perform in front of sell out crowds?

I know of many more who never received such compensations. I know of a multitude who never had the chance to receive compensation.
Some of them do drive VWs, Audis, Benz or Bimmers, I found no-correlation between compensations and rides. I assume they like to drive dependable and pleasurable automobiles, or cars that answer their economic needs.

RE: Forgive & forget?

Has anybody here ever heard "to the victor goes the spoils"? or "ALL'S FAIR IN LOVE AND WAR"? Compensation is ridiculous.

We're not talking about an art collection; we're talking about companies that became multinational conglomerates on the blood of others...Innocent people not soldiers. If some group were to invade your house and take what they wanted from your dubious list of cars, I'm sure you'd change your tune. 8i suggest you bone up on the Nuremberg trials to learn a little about war crimes.
