my review - no spoilers
saw the first 12:01am show. the local theatre was showing it on 4 screens. while there was no crazy lineup i did spot Darth Vader, Boba Fet and several Jedi's in the audience.
this movie is dark, very dark, very evil and not for kids. the first thing you will notice is that the visual effects are the most complex and accurate to date.
clocking in at over 2 1/2 hours, this movie has a robust and complicated storyline and easily could have been two movies, but with lots of action and chase scenes throughout you are kept entertained when not laughing at the funny scenes sprinkled here and there or the poor acting and chessy dialog synonymous with Star Wars films.
yoda is better than ever, more expressive, more athletic and more business. we even have another new villian to conquer. there is a barrage of new machines and vehicles filling up the backgrounds and a powerful operatic score heightens the emotion through the film.
all the answers are provided in this movie and it ties in perfectly to episode four released 28 years ago.
although it was seriously lacking appearances of any Mercedes i do rate ROTS as the third best movie of all six.
