I don't think you're being honest with yourself or others about this administration or its agenda and policies.
There comes a time when "good Germans" must misbehave--that time is now.
So, in your world the folks who agree with you are brilliant, insightful, and people of integrity. Folks who disagree with you are self-deluding stooges, fools, or stupid.
In my world I assume that people with whom I disagree are normal people who look at the facts and question their prejudices and then come to their own conclusions. In my world, I believe it is reasonable to call an argument ill-conceived, poorly framed, illogical, unsupported by facts, or just plain stupid. But I don't believe it is useful, proper, reasonable, or necessary to make assumptions or ad hominem arguments. To me, those methods are unproductive at best and intentionally insulting at worst.
Of course, when some dimwitted, slack-jawed, knuckle-dragging, boy-loving jackass calls me a liar, I am not above calling that jackass a fucking cunt. Because that's what he his to me.
