Schiavo autopsy results still pending. Jail time Michael!
For all of you that thought that this was over, it's not. Many, many people, like myself thought Michael Schiavo's strange behavior about wanting to starve his wife to death and totally ignoring her parents wishes, seemed indicative and downright incriminating of past abuse of Terri. He may have even caused her to go into the coma, by hitting her. Also... to decide to have her body cremated, although it is strickly against her religious beliefs and her parents wishes. By having her cremated, he could escape any further investigations into his wrong doing. Get him, lock him up, and maybe one of the nice inmates will put him in a coma too! Medical examiner: Schiavo autopsy results still weeks away

LARGO -- An autopsy of Terri Schiavo, the brain-damaged woman who died
in March after her feeding tube was removed, is still two or three
weeks from being completed, the region's medical examiner said.
Jon Thogmartin, the medical examiner for Pinellas and Pasco counties,
told the St. Petersburg Times that the high-profile case has taken over
his office and consumed his working hours. He has received hundreds of
letters and e-mails about Schiavo, who died March 31 after her
artificial feedings were stopped by court order.
Now at the center of a controversy that raged worldwide, Thogmartin
says he feels the pressure but is not influenced by it. ``I get e-mails
that say, ``Please be thorough, please be thorough, please be
thorough,``' he told the Times. ``Then in the next paragraph, they say, ``Hurry
up, hurry up, hurry up, why aren't you done yet?``'
He acknowledges that he is probably treating Schiavo differently than
he would other autopsies.
``This is a case that as far as the pathology goes is fairly routine,''
he said. ``But there is all this ancillary stuff and the problem is the
time delay. You have a 15-year delay between the incident (when Schiavo
collapsed and her brain was deprived of oxygen) and the time of
The woman's husband, Michael Schiavo, convinced a judge that his wife
would not have wanted to be kept alive artificially with no hope of
recovery. Her parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, fought him in court for
seven years, arguing that she was not in a persistent vegetative state as
court-ordered doctors had determined.
They also doubt that their daughter, who left no written directive, had
any such end-of-life wishes. Their battle engulfed the courts, Capitol
Hill and the White House and divided the country.
Terri Schiavo, 41, died 13 days after her feeding tube was removed at a
Pinellas Park hospice. She collapsed in 1990 from a chemical imbalance
believed to be brought on by an eating disorder.
