I was wondering, almost two years later, have you found out yet?

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

Tell me about it!
We let the Iraquis use puprple fingers to vote Iran in. Very clever from our "strategists" to entrap Iran so we can invade them. Let the games beign!

Look at that, the enemy makes the case for us. Blame Bush or whoever you want, when the even the enemy knows you can't leave, there's not a lot of point wasting time debating the manner in which you decide to stay.

It is sad that the calculus that one choice saves lives while the other expends them for more of the same does not enter your thnking. Please review the posts and tell me what exactly has improved or changed in Iraq for the lives we have expended up until now? What makes you think it will ever be any different?

I think you got about half of that. Let me quote a poem:

"Should I Stay Or Should I Go?"

Darling you gotta let me know
Should I stay or should I go?
If you say that you are mine
I'll be here 'til the end of time
So you got to let know
Should I stay or should I go?

Always tease tease tease

You're happy when I'm on my knees

One day is fine, next is black

So if you want me off your back

Well come on and let me know

Should I Stay or should I go?

Should I stay or should I go now?
Should I stay or should I go now?
If I go there will be trouble
An' if I stay it will be double
So come on and let me know
Should I cool it or should I blow?

This indecision's bugging me

If you don't want me, set me free

Exactly who'm I'm supposed to be

Don't you know which clothes even fit me?

Come on and let me know

Should I cool it or should I blow?

Should I stay or should I go now?

If I go there will be trouble

And if I stay it will be double

So you gotta let me know

Should I stay or should I go?

Bullshit, we had a choice of targets and Iraq was the wrong one. All we managed to do is help Al Qaida regroup and gain more support.
Invading Afghanistan was a no brainer and I still support our presence there as long as help the Afghans gain autonomy. Iraq on the other hand was not our war, we did it because Israel wanted us to do it just like it wants us to invade Iran now.
The day our higher up start thinking in the interest of America first then I will shut the hell up but right now we are just a fkin tool. We are not even getting rental fees for being a tool either. This really sucks don't you think?

It is really quite simple: The War in Iraq never made sense if you tried to look at it as part of the "War on Terror". It does make sense if you look at it as an attempt to control the world's oil. It's a Bastard War, formulated and planned by sons of bitches who should all be in prison.
