My trip to Africa (Wish the G had been there)

I got back from Morocco a couple of weeks ago and thought I would share some Benzworld forum related photos (well some are not but hey). These are from a trip I took through the high and middle atlas mountians and to the Algerian dessert in the south. Most if not all of the car/roadside photos are where Dakar and other rallys go.
The sand dunes are Erg Chebbi in the far south on the Algerian boarder, they are considered to be some of the biggest in the world and were used in movies like Hidalgo, Lawrence of Arabia and other movies. The Landcrusier I rented and went all over the dessert by the dunes by Algeria. There was some terrific dune driving but I only have video of that.
The car I did most of the trip in was a rented 1984 Mercedes 250 Diesel with 700k + kilometers extended limosine that i found in Fez in the North. For some reason it was the same price to hire as a sedan so I did not argue with Aziz who was the owner operator of it.
The massive grey castle is the full size prop castle from the up coming crussade movie Kingdom of Heaven.
The high atlas are absolutly amazing and have tons of day/week long trails for 4x4's that are breathtaking. The photo with me and Aziz with all the kids is at the highest paved pass in the high atlas.
Morocco is truly amazing and there are a huge ammount of 4x4 opertunites that no one takes advantage of. It is incredibly cheap and I encourage anyone who can to try to make it there, especially the dessert south and the Atlas mountians.

I'm glad you enjoyed the trip. For a moment, I thought I was involved in this trip when I read my name.

I went on a Safari in Kenya when I was 12. Africa has a lot to offer and see.
