RE: UK Election --What's it all about?
Deathrattle - For God's sake man - I'm a one fingered typist to whom fast three paragraph ranting is impossible. I find slow abbreviated one fingered responses to bullshit posts eminently more satisfying. Your "empirical" points amplify a wider world view of the UK as being the woolly cardigan of world relevance. The EU is evolving to become the seat of European political power. Strikes me that as long as UK and France persist with their old fashioned snotty "empirical" attitudes, that you will rely upon nostalgia (ie:through tourism of dead castles) for your continuance and survival.
I truly hope however, that before Alzheimers does occur,I have the chance to visit your wonderful Kingdom(?) while it is still United. So many Poms are bailing out and coming here, but with only 4mill. population versus your 56 - with about the same land area, I don't blame them wanting to find some space.
It would be great if our export quality meat was also available for local consumption. These days, the best is exported, but compared to the crap that the rest of the world has to base their diets on (rice or spaghetti), I'm happy with our lot. Thankfully you can not buy Bluff oysters at your end of this food chain - nah nah nah!.
Regards to Liz ( she is still our Queen also - weird eh!)
