I have a bridge in death valley ca. I could sell you.
We go there to cool off in the summer sometimes. That bridge is the only shade in 100 miles. I'm sure it will draw a premium price.

that's funny. I was there (Phoenix) last summer. there was a cold front passing through. The high was around 102F. I spent my days in the pool! I went to Mexico to cool off.

The alternative financing is a big help - I financed my house using what is essentially a margin loan on stocks - I have the option to pay only the interest if I choose, as long the stocks maintain their value -if the stock performs well, in the end I come out ahead in both the rise in the value of the house, and in the rise in the stock price. Since I backed it up with Exxon stock, and one of their competitors blew up yesterday, I'm doing ok with it. The only real danger is the greater risk - a margin call means I got to go live under a bridge.
That’s wild. So is this recent, or have you had this on for a few years? Even though I know I want XOM and BP in twenty years I’d be a little cautious in through here. The energies are in the news and I’ve never known that to be anything but a time for traders to get their sell orders ready. Is this just something you worked out on paper or is it actually in the mortgagee? Considering what the stock has done you should be able either pay it off or at least eliminate the margined portion. A plan for how to take profits is as important as controlling the risk. You can write the Calls for better than a buck every month which works out to over 20% and that’s not a bad way to be taken out of some. Then put little bits back in directly through their DRIP – it’s looking toppy right here 12:10 3/24.
