Time Magazines, "Person Of The Year" 2000,2004

TIME magazine named George W. Bush "PERSON OF THE YEAR" two times - 2000, 2004. YEA!!! We already knew he was a great president. And Time has always had a reputation for being liberal. Even they, can't deny the good job he's done. CONGRATS Greoge!!! I can hear the flamethrowers clicking on... and the clowns gathering... http://www.time.com/time/poy2000/ http://www.time.com/time/personoftheyear/2004/story.html http://www.time.com/time/covers/0,16641,1101001225,00.html

RE: Time Magazines, "Person Of The Year" 2000,2004

Don't be so quick to tout the president. How he's done his job isn't a criteria for this award. "Person of the Year" is awarded to that entity which has had the most impact on the news during the past year. Obviously the election and Iraq gave the president an edge for his news-worthiness; be it for good or ill.

In addition to the George Bush, M. L. King, and Ghandi; you've also had Hitler, Stalin, and Khrushchev win this award.

You ALSO have to read WHY they were given this title. Some good, some bad, read the stories. Comments on Bush? Very good![8)]

This is old shit. Those that love him think he deserves the award. Those that hate him think he doesn't.

We all know, without further identificaton of the parties, where everybody stands with regard to George.

Anything that I missed here?

I should add that the BHD is still preoccupied with cutting the genitalia off of Bill Clinton. Somebody ought to remind him that Clinton hasn't been president for five years.

Misleading and abusive!

Mark08859's outlook is most appropriate, context is important.

Linking Bush and Hitler is abusive, and biased, based on this "award" alone.

W. Churchill, the Pope, Elizabeth II, K. Adenhaer, Sadat also made the list, why not link Bush to them fi the Time list is all you have to go by?
