RE: WTF?: Church Plans to Bury the Ashes of Fetuses From Abortion Clinic

I don't understand the fuss. The mothers could have had the ashes, I assume. As they didn't take that opportunity, the mortary is free to do what they wish. I think I'll make a donation to that church. Every soul deserves someone to care about it, in my opinion.

Also, in my opinion, the real problem in this world is that so few people care. About anything. Anything at all.

This was explained very well in one of my favorite movies " A Bronx Tale" Watched it twice last night.

I think this is my position also. If the tissue is indeed medical waste, and it appears to abandoned, what does it matter? It seems to be disposed of in the ground either way. What would be everyone's position if someone wanted to pray over the ashes of the other by products of medicine i.e. syringes, tounge depressors, cotton balls and those little cone thingys that go on the ear/temperature thingy?

The only difference I can see would be that the aborted tissue is more than medical waste. If that is so, what status does it have?

So your solution to not forcing them to have children is to force them to have children?
maybe i'm misunderstanding. By having children, do you mean bearing them or keeping/raising them?
Either/or

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

Actually the mortuary signed a contract directing them explicitly how to dispose of the remains, and prohibiting them from doing exactly what they did.

that's is what I understand also. If that is the case, then the mortuary did the wrong thing by acting counter an agreement.

What is puzzling to me is if the tissue is medical waste, why do they care what happens to it after it is incinerated? Wouldn't it be put in the ground anyway? What's the difference to the abortion provider or the abortive mother what happens to it?
If the tissue were an amputated leg, would it garner the same reaction were someone to want to ceremonialize it's disposal?

If they had done it with pure hearts and the best of intentions, there would be no flack, because very few people would even know about it. Unfortunately, they chose to travel the low road and use the misfortunes of others to further a political agenda in direct opposition to those who provided the material. Sleaze -- at its sleaziest.
