I'm not sure you do understand the problem. Evolution looks good at the level of the whole organism. It is at the cellular level that these problems exist. You cannot argue from the greater to the lesser.
Exactly how does an irreducibly complex machine evolve in a positive direction.
Another question.... This is a seriou question; it only seems like I'm joking.
How does sex work? I mean in an evolutioary manner. With asexual reproduction, its easy; the organism simply divides; no muss, no fuss, no complicated relationships. But with sex as we know it there are complications. Not only must the right "equipment" and all the connective "plumbing" evolve, but the task is divided to require two seperate organisms, each with their attendan"equipment" and "plumbing". Until the entire "system" is complete, there is no benefit to the species. How would natural selection apply to an imcomplete reproductive system?
