RE: Tsunami in my country

tiger_biru, is that really you? Nice.

Tsunami comes and goes. Hope the next one will be a long time coming. It will take year to rebuild affected countries. Some days, all buildings will be built as solid as Mercedes cars; and less damages and less lives will be lost.

RE: Tsunami in my country

I hope things are going well for you. After seeing the news reports, it is obvious the destruction is beyond anything any of us can imagine, and the anguish for your people you must be feeling must be tremendous. All our hearts have broke for all of you. God bless you.

Hey tiger_biru, how are things going now? What is the feeling where you live? The worldwide excitement seems to have dissipated quite a bit, though there are still daily stories in the press. It no longer dominates everything. We had a big private fundraising effort in the USA yesterday on television that raised a lot of money. Also, many private groups are still receiving large amounts of cash from private citizens. I hope that most of the money gets to where it is needed most.

Best wishes,

Bot

RE: Tsunami in my country

And Death Shall Have No Dominion

And death shall have no dominion.
Dead men naked they shall be one
With the man in the wind and the west moon;
When their bones are picked clean and the clean bones gone,
They shall have stars at elbow and foot;
Though they go mad they shall be sane,
Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again;
Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion.

And death shall have no dominion.
Under the windings of the sea
They lying long shall not die windily;
Twisting on racks when sinews give way,
Strapped to a wheel, yet they shall not break;
Faith in their hands shall snap in two,
And the unicorn evils run them through;
Split all ends up they shan't crack;
And death shall have no dominion.

And death shall have no dominion.
No more may gulls cry at their ears
Or waves break loud on the seashores;
Where blew a flower may a flower no more
Lift its head to the blows of the rain;
Though they be mad and dead as nails,
Heads of the characters hammer through daisies;
Break in the sun till the sun breaks down,
And death shall have no dominion.

RE: Tsunami in my country

Well, relief operations still under way this past 4 weeks, and the disease hopefully haven't spread too much. Have you seen the amateur footage? You will squirm if you have seen those.

I have nothing to comment on such fundraising. I do hope that most of the money gets to where it is needed most.

Thanks Bot for your concern.[:)]

Kvining, that poem should have wonderful meaning if I dig literature that well....thanks again

These three lines say it all:

Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again;
Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion.
