I hate to sound conspiratorial, but I think what has actually happened is that psy-ops mass media techniques developed during the Cold War have been adopted by the Republican Party.
Well, actually, you DO sound conspirational. That's textbook tinfoil hat material, bro!
With all of today's high-tech, instant-access means of obtaining and spreading information that you mentioned....the internet being the most far-reaching and uncontrollable by a long shot....do you REALLY think that such a vast, complex conspiracy could remain a secret for any useful length of time? Seriously.... Come on.
I tend to think just the opposite: That there's a very LIBERAL (there's that darned word again!) slant to much of the mass media coverage, with FOX being the exception.... But I don't for one minute think it's some kind of "vast psy-ops kind of Democratic conspiracy in control of the media"! That's ridiculous. It's just a result of the people running/editing/writing/reporting at many of the big news outlets being of a liberal/Democratic kind of mindset, so they give more weight to news that fits that criteria. Nothing more. There's no grand conspiracy behind it.
Operating and maintaining the secrecy of such a thing would be an impossibility in this day and age, and I can't believe someone of your intelligence would even entertain the idea.
I mean, come on!..... Bill Clinton couldn't even keep an affair with an intern a secret, and he's brilliant! (according to most Dems, anyway)... How can you, on one hand, think George W. and his supporters are such "morons", yet on the other hand, you think he and his people are capable of keeping evidence of such a far-reaching conspiracy from leaking?
I think you're just in denial, bro.... There's no conspiracy. It's just that most people really DON'T think like you do. Sorry to break the news to you.
