RE: America has Spoken: 4 More Years for Pres. Bush . . .

You guys got the keys for the next 4 years. I hope you end up making me wish I had voted for Bush. Make me regret my vote for Kerry, by serving up Bin Laden's head on a platter, turning Iraq into a democracy and bringing our soldiers home. Prove me wrong, folks, PLEASE prove me wrong.
That's all I have to say.

That would make a great concession speech for the Democrats that voted otherwise! [;)]

Forget plane tickets. Your transportation is going to be on a Donkey with a bad attitude. Ironic I thought.

Try another country if you dont like the impression this one is making. I will buy your travel ticket.

Good. For those that can't accept it, leave this country. Get out of here, socialists, and don't look back. All news sounds appealing to me. Good job, Dubya!

It's these kinds of comments that really strike a chord. I am only 39, but I recall when people disagreed with each other, and debated. There was discussion. Today, the only answer is "I'm right and you should fuck off." "If you don't like it, leave." And so on. Discussion has turned into "I made a statement and if you disagree, screw you."

Sure, the world was always filled with bigots, close minded people, and hate-mongers. Maybe I just didn't come in contact with so many without the internet?

Why so much anger? Why are so many of the neo-cons I meet angry at everything and everybody? In sitting down with a cuppa for some friendly debate, within two minutes they turn hostile and play the "you should get out" card.

It looks like Bush won, and hopefully fair and square. The real problem that I think the US is facing is that it's nearly a 50/50 vote. The nation seems polarized with half the country taking one side and half taking the other. The nation is split and I think it's unproductive. There is a lack of clear vision on either side. Bush may be "loved" by many, but I didn't see where he painted a realistic future for the US. Did Kerry? Both sides debated thirty year old war records (huh?) and other nonsensical crap. I know that the war is a focal point, but in the lives of 99% of US citizens, it's background noise. The economy and the future of the middle class were non-starter topics. Cripes.

Good luck to you, and don't let the two term rule be repealed...

I'm really trying to see things from your perspective, but I'm having trouble getting my head up my ass

Oh, so maybe you should have run for President then considering you have all the answers. It was the leftist media that started that debate and basically forced them to address it. It was also your buddies that started the nasty name calling.

Just out of curiousity,... who's next? Pakistan? and will Dubya thank Musharaf for handing over Bin Laden, or bomb them for hiding him there all this time.[;)]

Haha, that cracks me up! Although Bush made a promise to the Cubans in Florida that the next war will be in Cuba.

We should have time for Syria, North Korea and Iran as well.

Four More Wars!

Did I say I had the answers? No. Expressing my opinion, I think that many issues were left sitting in the closet. The presidential election becomes a personal attack campaign that focuses on service records, family, and fidelity issues. Both the democrats and the republicans are guilty.

No one forced either candidate into saying anything or doing anything. Isn't that the whole "it's a free country" thing? Again, simply blaming the "leftist" anything is akin to "I'm right, shut-up" and is an empty argument without basis in fact. It wasn't only Clinton that relaxed ownership laws in media and allowed concentration and monopolization. I occasionally watch US news, and witnessed some very biased reporting, on both sides.

Huh? Find my posts where I'm name calling and attacking people personally. I pointed out two posts where the argument was based on a knee-jerk reaction that is all too commonplace.

If Canada ever becomes anything other than a liability, then we'll make it a State!
