IF he is anywhere near as big an asshole and as stupid as you are he doesn't stand a chance. Too bad. Given a decent parent the kid might have amounted to something.

He’s one of those good kids for whom this does not come easy, he’d worked very hard. [:)]

JDC, as I said, I understand. We have struggled with our son since middle school. It has paid off though. He is an honor student and is currently doing his diversified cooperative training at the state's largest aviation school. But like you, it hasn't been easy. Our oldest son is a genius and everything came so easy for him. With the young one we had to scratch and dig. Those victories are priceless!!! I hope you let your child know how special he is!! And, congradulations to his parents too!! [:)]

I also know what you mean – success comes to my youngest son easily. I wish the best for your son in aviation school.

Congrats to you both and your offspring! If you can believe it, I was a real bastard in school. My parents never gave up, and just pushed me harder. A true no-nonsense approach. I owe them the world.

Thanks. Yes, my son has his own agenda, if you will – like your parents we try to keep him focused.

What branch of aviation is your son looking into going in? Does he want to be an aircraft mechanic, or pilot? I thought about going into aviation, to pilot commercial aircraft, in fact, I still do. I could have gone to the aviation high school in the ghetto, but I changed my mind, and went to this other high school, still in the ghetto though. I could still take up aviation in college, but I also like engineering, designing roads and stuff. I know my parents will feel the same way that you do when I finally graduate, it's been a very long 12 years.
