RE: Are we headed for a civil war?
Early initial polling after the Bin Laden tape aired is showing the opposite of what the right wing pundits have been saying - a 70%/30% split on this question: Do you think the re-emergence of Bin Laden shows Bush dropped the ball in Afghanistan?, the 70 going to the affirmitive. Bush has also shown a 2 pt drop in the Fox News poll, one that can be considered to give every advantage to Bush, since the tape aired. By Tuesday, the consequence of the news of 380 tons of missing high-yield plastic explosives coupled with the appearance of Bin Laden will start to become clear to the average voter. This president has put us in grave danger with his war in Iraq. Its like he never even thought Al-Queda might be actually planning to harm us, he has been so obssesed with Iraq's oil. Meanwhile, the voter is waking up to the implications of our newest reality-based TV show, Osama Bin Laden, and our leader's strange behavior when it comes to securing loose weapons in Iraq vs securing oil facilities. Bush has been lethal to Americans. Osama, like most men in his position, probably has enough of those explosives to back up his words. A "dirty" nuclear bomb, of which we let one of the major components get stolen in Iraq, a bomb of this type exploded in the right place, like Houston, Texas - would wreck the economy of this nation, while killing hundreds of thousands of people at the same time. It should be obvious to all at this point what a wonderful job Bush has done to prevent this.
