RE: So who are acting like Nazis?
Oh, we probably are using the term difefrently. That probably results in some of the hurt feelings around here. I don't think that the actual politics is what is meant in the various accusations--that would seem to me to be hopelessly wrong-headed. I think its the Nazi tactics that seem similar to the two groups who are busy saying nasty things to each other. In truth, you probably share more characteristics than hold exclusive. It appears so to me. Doesn't matter whether the tactics are adopted by a centrist bigot, a rightwing bigot, a libertarian bigot, a leftwing bigot, a communist bigot, a Franciscan bigot, a Hindu bigot, a Serbian bigot, a Nicaraguan bigot, a Muslim bigot,.....
Dude, you're a bigot when you dismiss "All Democrats...", or "All Union members....", or "All Republicans...". Take a careful look at yourself. Wrap yourself in the mantle of inclusivity when other people agree with you?
When you generalize behavior to a class, you are prejudiced. Sometimes prejudice is a good and useful thing. But when it is a tool or avenue for violence, denigration, derision, etc, well then pal, you are a bigot. There is a nice swastika with your name on it.
