I voted today

Wife and I did early voting today. I was amazed how easy it was.

But I was concerned that you only needed to show a credit card or social security card for identification. But what worried me was the fact that the poll worker asked me if my father was going to vote. He has been dead for 5 years. So wife and I was wondering what would prevent a dishonest worker for the Democratic party or the Republican party to vote for him, since you only need a credit card or social security card for identification.

RE: I voted today

That reminds me of Louisiana ca. 1880: “Vote early and often. It was not unusual for children to “vote several times.

I don't understand why you're asked to present a credit card either...

RE: I voted today

You can vote with a non picture identification in my area. You just need one of the following to vote in my area: military ID, driver licenses, credit card, social security card, utilities bill, or gas card. I am a JR and the poll worker printed out my father identification and ask me to sign it to acknowledge that the information on the sheet was correct. I told him that it was my father, and he has been dead for 5 years. The point is we can have voters fraud in my area because you do not need picture identification.

RE: I voted today

A lot of folks in my area do not have cars. Since they do not have a car, they do not have driver's licenses. So they came up with a way for folks to vote. I wish we had a national ID.

RE: I voted today

States issue ID only non-driver license ID’s to people who neither drive nor own a car.
