It's a mid 90's Ford (Euro) Escort, no doubt about it. I can tell because of the tail lights and the shape of the door.

DAMN!!
I thought so too, but wasn't sure. I know BMW's didn't have those round gas filler caps. Did anybody survive that? [?]

My first impression was that of an Escort too, however I think that tree is way too whimsy not to be taken out by that car travelling with an obviously high rate of speed. Something is amiss. And by the way there is speedlimit on the autobanh, especially around cities. They have electronic signs posting the appropriate speed limit which changes according to road and traffic conditions. However outside of inhabited areas usually the sky is the limit.

The more I look at the picture the more I think it has been Photoshop-ed. 100%, look at picture #1 and #2. On #2 you can see the passanger side tire and what appears to be an airbag. You don't see it on #1. By the way what kind of an airbag deploys from under the car? And #3 seems so unnatural, where is the front of the car? Fake for sure.

actually they look pretty consistant... the angles of the shots in #1 and #2 are vastly different and i think in 1 the tire is obscured by the trunk are... look closer...

Well I blew them up side by side in Photoshop and in #1 it looks like the whole passanger side is either missing or it had been rolled up, however if you look at #2 that side is there, at least the quarter panel is. And it looks to me as if the passanger side wheel is at the same level as the muffler. But it is not visible on #1. How about the rear apron? On #2 it looks like almost intact except a bit of a kink, on #1 it seems to be missing from the middle. Does this car have an independent rear suspension 'cause there is no rear axle visible. I still feel something is fishy.

yes, independent suspension if it is Ford Escort since it would be front wheel drive.

you maybe on to something with the back bumper/skirting. i kept looking at that too. also that black plastic in one is missing/not visible in 2. the dent though is mistirious. the guy in red coat looks to be of pretty good pivot point. i don't think he had moved much between those pictures...
the muffler seems to be consistent with the driver's side of the car too..
also the driver's door had changed positions between pictures 1 and 2 or something...

This thing looks to me like it either tumbled a while and wrecked the car completely before it hit the tree (that tree just doesn't have the mass or the damage from the tree being the first object the car hit), or this thing was pushed up against the tree by something that hit it. I don't see much photoshop work. The angles are just not that obvious because of the damage. There are portions of the car literally wrapped around the tree. Jim

look closely, on the first pic there seems to be a body panel that's ripped off that contains the black strip. on the 2nd pic there isn't because you see the reverse side of the said body panel mentioned above. peculiar angle. and notice the left rear wheel, it is angled very far from the first to the second pic, that should give two different points of view
