RE: Need more tax cuts

There is no evidence which shows that healthcare will improve if left at the mercy of market forces. Healthcare is not a commodity or service where one can compare prices. It's not like buying cars or TV's and stereos. Nobody wants to go to the doctor, people go because they have to. I can't imagine going to a doctor who is going to tell me it's 2.1 million or I die.

We don't need more Bush type corporate tax cuts. If anything at all, these cuts have served to discourage corporate reinvestment and spending. That extra coupla hundred million or so which used to be earmarked for tax deferred mechanical upgrades now boosts corporate P/E ratios by half a percentage point or so. Funny how beating the street by 2 cents can in the short term increase the total market capitalization of a company by several hundred million dollars. Good, but only if you have 5000 shares of Engone and need to make a quick 300k to buy that tricked out Maranello.

Least that's the way I see it.

All hail the Sixteen Men of Tain!

The best national health care possible would be to get the government the hell out of it and let the market take care of it.

Want good health care? Great, now go get a job and pay for it yourself just like you do any other product or service.
This is a big success with prescription drugs.

Okay, I'll bite.

Starvation is wrong. Nekkidness is evil.

Why don't we give food and clothing away instead of making people pay for it?

No need, there’s no trick to it:

Conservative dogma that national healthcare and public education will act as a disincentive for success is a fallacy.

We already do. For those who cannot afford either there is a government funded means to avoid starvation. And freezing or subjecting the rest of us to your nekkidness. The government programs are supplemented by privately funded ones with volunteer workers. Jim
