This is typical, nobody made a stint about it when they found those 10 + gas shells a few months back.
Each shell was capable of killing 10,000 plus people times that by ten. You do the math. If that wasn't considered WMD's, how many murdered people does it take to be put in the WMD category. Another thing the UN DID NOT have total supervision of Iraq's arsenal!! If you remeber back to the last few yrs leading up to 9-11.( FACT ) The UN was barred from going to certain regions and facilities for inspection by Saddam, and ultiamtely was kicked out of the country entirely. (FACT )During this time not only did the US intelligence, but that of Britain, Russia, France & Israel observed large convoys coming and going from Iraq to Syria. This is where they believe large quantities of weapons were transported. If you notice there are countries on that list that did not support the war as well. For you naive Moore fans out there, that believed everything. (FACT) He won't even claim his movie as a documentary, he'll only says it's entertainment. If it's the truth like he claims than why won't he categorize it as a documentary..

The truth hurts !!!

No one with any credibility entertains Syria received any substantial cache of weapons. The gas shells (how many, two?) were from the Iran/Iraq war (we supplied the technology) and were deemed to be unusable. The point is the nuclear material WAS supervised until we forced the UN out, and we did nothing to secure it. A clear mistake.

What is with all this ranting?

We did nothing??? Hello we were'nt allowed to. That was all supervised by the UN, a bunch of incompetent morons.Case in point to Kerry's rhettoric if we go by his global rules of engagement we would sit around on our bums and let the rest of the world's incompetence dictate the safety of our nation. We played by the rules and let the world(UN) supervise and inventory Iraq's nuclear components, now due to their incompetence, Bush and the US is blamed . How ironic is that. So you say anybody with crediblity doesn't buy the Syrian theory, I guess that means the people your support as well. The UN chief inspector, the peace loving French, German and Russian intelligence You claim only two shells were found, let's go with that, 2 times 10,000 hmmm I guess 20,000 plus potential fatalities doesn't get labeled as WMD's in your book. N. Korea doesn't even have a fully working nuclear missile yet but they have us and the rest of the world shaking in our boots. It only takes one bullet to kill somebody, the other 5 is there for good measure.

I thought I was clear enough the first time: WE SENT THE UN OUT. WE DID NOT SUBSEQUENTLY SECURE THE SITES, JUST THE OIL TERMINALS.

The rusty old shells were useless. No one even in the Bush administration is hanging on the the notion those were the WMDs, or the WMDs were sent to Syria.

** It's ranting when you lose focus and start shouting and moaning about every topic you can think of, with no substantial though behind it.

Not misleadign at all, kind sir.

Can one convert that crap to a dirty bomb? Yes? Its a WMD.

But wait, its not a WMD because that would mean Saddam had WMD so it cannot be dangerous, therefore, I see no problem.

B
Apparently you missed the part about Saddam never having the stuff. I suppose he could have attacked the UN guards, built a dirty bomb, declared war on the US, put the bomb into one of his unpiloted drones, and fly it to New York. That's about where you guys are at when it comes to plausibilty these days.

If the truth hurts, go find some, maybe I'll say ouch. Instead I am going to prove you are the fool who will believe anything. When are people going to wake up to the fact that the common threads for all these stories you rightwing guys push is falsehood? Nothing but lies for months and months. Here's your (FACT)'s genius:

Lie:

This is typical, nobody made a stint about it when they found those 10 + gas shells a few months back.
Each shell was capable of killing 10,000 plus people times that by ten. You do the math.

The truth:
http://www.warsawvoice.pl/view/6022
No one has ever found munitions like you are describing in your lie, in Iraq. So far the sum total of WMD is a few mortar shells and a single artillery shell, all corroded or inert and unusable as WMDs, left over from the 1980's war with Iran.

Lie:
The UN was barred from going to certain regions and facilities for inspection by Saddam, and ultiamtely was kicked out of the country entirely.

The truth:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/2003-03-17-inspectors-iraq_x.htm

http://japan.usembassy.gov/e/p/tp-20030203a5.html

Lie:

During this time not only did the US intelligence, but that of Britain, Russia, France & Israel observed large convoys coming and going from Iraq to Syria. This is where they believe large quantities of weapons were transported.

The truth:

Neither the Kay report or the Duefler report have found any evidence this ever happened. It is not surprising the only web links that showed up when I googled your assertion are all to World Net Daily and Newsmax, because only rightwing crackpots believe the "Syria has them" BS. Here is the CIA report:

http://www.cia.gov/cia/reports/iraq_wmd_2004/Comp_Report_Key_Findings.pdf

Lie:

For you naive Moore fans out there, that believed everything. (FACT) He won't even claim his movie as a documentary, he'll only says it's entertainment. If it's the truth like he claims than why won't he categorize it as a documentary..

The truth:

Please note Michael Moore's announcement of the sale of his "two hour documentary" at Army PX's, from his web site.
Please note the following, right from Mr. Moore's mouth:

"Critics expected it to fair well at the Academy Awards early next year. But that was before Moore announced last month on his Web site he would forgo a chance to win another Oscar in favor of an early public release, possibly on TV, before people cast their ballots.

“If there is even the remotest of chances that I can get this film seen by a few million more Americans before election day, then that is more important to me than winning another documentary Oscar, the independent producer and director wrote.

Sales are reported as brisk, BTW:

RE: Unbelievably frighting news from Iraq

It's amazing the degree to which people have come to believe that the UN is incapable of doing anything properly. Anyone read the report last week? Holy cow, the UN inspectors were not finding anything NOT because they are incompetant, but because there was nothing to find!
Bush's bologna regarding saddam retaining the intent and capability to reconsitute programs, and trying to tie that to Saddam's cheating the oil-food program to convince people that sanctions should be lifted is such a reach. Hello, the US has a veto over lifting those sanctions. Think that was going to happen? Um, no- not with any president during Saddam's reign.

finally folks, we need only look to rural america to explain the finding of shells and such decaying in the sands... ever seen a yard-car? Yeah, that's pretty much what they've found. Yard-missiles. empty, ignored, yard-missiles. Could that yard-car be 'reconstituted' if you had the 'intent' to do so? Well, hell yeah, but you'd need a whole lot of stuff to do it, and you'd be able to go to a store for most of it... Yard-missiles have no such refirb store. But... it's POSSIBLE. why are we giving W. such a hard time? He's right!

NEWS
Shell Shock

According to WSI, the preliminary tests of the two 122 mm rocket shells carried out by three independent laboratories confirmed the presence of paralyzing-convulsive chemical warfare agents and cyclosarin in the rocket heads. The shells were in bad technical condition and unfit for warfare in accordance with their originally intended use.
However, they undoubtedly incorporated different amounts of poisonous substances which, in sufficient amounts and in the wrong hands, could be dangerous.Your text here

Saddam didn't have it. The UN had it under their supervision in Iraq at the time. It was supposedly common knowledge. That makes it not WMD Saddam had. There is a difference. We put it in the hands of people, other than Saddam, who would like to make it a WMD by attacking without being aware it existed and was being left unguarded.

We would have been better off to have checked the inventory of bad stuff in Iraq that the UN was in charge of, and made plans to keep that bad stuff from getting in the hands of people who would make WMD from it, before the invasion was started. If it is not clear that attacking without a plan for this, and God knows what else is now missing, demonstrates we rushed to war, I am not sure there is any evidence that will convince some people. Jim
Ohhhh, the UN had it so its okay.

I feel much chagrined. Think back for a second and recall that many UN members were in favor of lifting sanctions against Saddam and that Saddam had kicked-out inspectors.

This is the same UN that f**ked-up the food oil for bribes program, right?

Here's a test:
The world would be (safer/less safe) if the UN were in charge of nuclear material.
