Can we have a source for the article?
Kirk, I see no where in the article that the woman in question was black. Also, your post is HIGHLY misleading. It tries desperately to get one to think that Dr. Coburn is some sort of racist, who performs unwarranted surgeries at will only on blacks. Do you have a source for what you are implying? Do you have a source for the lobotomies and commitings? And need I remind you that a majority of the racists in the south were DEMOCRATS, because any southern white male worth his Klan membership hated Lincoln for freeing the slaves. Would you like a source for that? You first, concerning all the allegations and insulting insinuations about southern white Republicans.
I am not even a Republican, and what you have said angers me. Never have I read something on an MB board that was so full of tripe in all my life. Tolerant, non-judgemental liberal indeed.[:(!]
Anyway, back to the article in question...
Some of you must have just recently been released from our Federal Youth Indoctorination Centers, where critical thinking skills are squashed instead of cultivated. The outrage doesnt make sense, because no one has scrutinized the content deeper than what the article leads one to believe.
I really dont see what the problem is, politically speaking. How does a medical procedure, performed 14 years ago, where there may have been a mis-understanding about consenting to a part of the operation, factor in to how he will represent Oklahomans? Why wasn't this brought up 14 years ago instead of when the man is running for office? Why does this reek of a political smear campaign?
Is See-BS involved in this somehow?
