if these brave men coming forward, speaking the truth, leads to the fall of the house of lies Bush has built, I for one will be as proud as I have ever been to be an American.

Kirk, may I humbly (sp?) suggest you try out www.democraticunderground.com for your needs. Some of us come to OT to discuss things other than politics.

Thank you.
Start a thread dude - heck I've started a couple on topics that have nothing to do with politics - driving the old benz for kicks, christianity, what its like where you live, give me a break, man. This is election season and this is what is in the news.

I was just suggesting a place for you with lots of people with your like-minded political leanings.

And as for my posting on the few political topics I have replied to here, well, somethings just needed saying. [B)] Its not like I had much of a choice, when 16 out of the 29 topics on the first page are political in nature, all against conservatives or Bush or Iraq, and of the top 10 on the page 7 of them are political. So please tell me what I am supposed to respond to when I dont give a lick about BMW's, 18mo old snow shoes, Porsche 356's, or AOHELL IM's.[?][:(!]

When people jump the other party and agree with me then they're brave and full of integrity

When they jump my party and disagree with me, they're traitors.

Like whazzisname from Georgia, for example. Jumped his party and agreed with the opposition. Is he a man of integrity, puting the nation ahead of politics, too?

Whats the difference?

The difference is in you, not them.

I don't care for forums where everyone agrees with everyone else. It is a poor missionary who goes to places where everyone has been converted. Forums where everyone agrees would end up stale and boring, like benzforum.com for example.

If you have an interest you would like to talk about or a thread you want to start that challenge's liberals to defend their beliefs, please do so. An exchange of ideas is what I really seek. I would enjoy a good discussion on the second amendment for example, which you find important. Or be a bomb thrower like me, and start a "Is Teresa Heinz Laura Bush's gay lover? " thread. Whatever floats your boat, man, its a free country.

Mopar,

well, if you don't like the political threads here you can take the advice of the posters above or you can join in on the heated discussion at the old shop. [:o)]

Well, I come up with 10 out of 30, and 2 out the 10 were started by a troll. Given that the presidential election is only weeks away, that seems quite reasonable, doesn't it? Just don't take it so seriously -- I for one appreciate your calm, rational viewpoints as "fair and balanced", though we're not necessarily in agreement.

Whoa! Another Republican senator bails on Bush! This one says he won't even vote for him. What do all these big wigs know that we don't know?

First of all, Lincoln Chafee is a VERY moderate Republican – a Republican version of Zell Miller, if you will – so that’s not too astonishing. If you notice most if not all of these Republicans are from the Northeast and out West: the “Old Guard. For about the last 15 years or so the GOP Old Guard have been grumbling about the radical Southerners turning the party into a cross between the KKK (Pat Buchanan) and the Nazi party (Trent Lott). But it was the Southerners who brought the party so much success in the last 10 years: from being totally out of power in 1994 to running the whole show today. Stay tuned.
