RE: Why doesn't the electorate hate Bush?
My position is that Bush's policies are the reason the economy does not improve the lot of every day people, yet is doing great things for the rich. Take a poll some day, you'll find completely opposite views of the economy from those in the disappearing middle vs the wealthy. All this other stuff is excuse making. In a globalized economy, tax cuts for the wealthy simply mean ever larger amounts of capital going overseas, and making the deficit worse means ever more debt being held by Saudi oil fascists. Tax cuts in the middle put the money into the economy, and the rich paying their fair share means less deficits. Consider this: If you work 40 hrs a week, make $800, you get taxed 30% on your wages. If you don't work at all, and get $800 a week in income from your stock investments, you get taxed 10% on your income. Your both earning income. Why is the rich man's income taxed less than yours, especially considering the fact he didn't even work to earn it? Your both earning income, yet for some reason he gets to keep more of his then you do. Wouldn't a tax rate of 15% on both parties be fairer? Bush's tax system is an act of class warfare, the whole thing is designed to transfer the wealth of this country to the wealthy.
