Palm Harbor, FL

Lots of great beaches close by.

Lots of great state parks.

No winters.

No emmissions testing

The one plate thing and no registration sticker on windshield

Lots of pretty girls

Lots of old people

Very hot/humid summers

A rapidly declining real estate market (I'm a realtor/investor.......basically have nothing to do this year except count the losses Im taking)

Been here since '92, moved from NY and would never go back.

Smile San Francisco, lots to love and hate

I have been gone since late '04 but lived there almost forever. How I remember:

San Francisco: Good things

Best restaurants you could ever hope to find
No right wing nut jobs (except AM talk radio hosts)
Cool, pleasant weather
No rattlesnakes or mountain lions, mosquitoes or humidity
No smog
Perfect place to live if you have unlimited money
Great for upscale shopping
Absolutely great for walking
Public transportation that really works
Interesting and diverse population
Great arts, music, comedy, stage and movie scene
Lots of free educational opportunities
Good nightlife and bar scene
Marvelous ethnic enclaves like Little Italy
Breathtaking views everywhere
Best bookstores to be found
Golden Gate Park, The Presidio, Ft. Mason
FleetWeek Air show
Beautiful women everywhere
Few gun nuts. Only 7 CCW permits issued but city still pretty safe.

Bad things

Outrageous housing and rental costs
Totally anti-automobile: Nazi parking meter maids, red light runners, no parking at all to speak of, no good mechanics, crazed bicycle messengers and Critical Mass fanatics that kick cars, unlicensed drivers, bad drivers, wrecks, hit and runs, everyone sue happy
Dirty smelly homeless everywhere
Panhandlers all over the place
Dog owners let pets shit all over streets and in the parks
Political correctness run TOTALLY amok - Bow to the gay Lesbian, transgendered Bisexual sado masochistic confused gender set
Huge portions of residential area unfriendly Chinese ghetto
High crime rate inminority areas
Sanctuary City for all illegal aliens
Bicyclists ignore all traffic laws, run down pedestrians everywhere
Clueless tourists everywhere
Union Square, Fishermans Wharf, Cable cars: horrible tourist attractions
"Victims" playing the race card every day
Protests at the drop of a hat, Vegetarian, Pro Palestinian, pro illegal alien, anti police, anti fur, anti- everything demonstrations disrupting the city and giving SFPD more overtime.
Useless Pearl and Doily socialites a waste of skin
Gays and Lesbians with their Pride taking over al politics and putting Pride flags all over everywhere
Terrible newspapers
"Bridge & Tunnel surbanites" coming into town every weekend to drink fight party and buy drugs
Horrible traffic, auslanders can't understand how the streets work

<--- superschnelle 300 hp 10:1 ECE euro HV, Hochverdichtung = high compression (11/2011) ... Wie im Freien Fall. Nur horizontal.

"I swear to god, it's like I live in a trailer of common sense, and stare out the window at a tornado of stupidity." >'='<
