Nice to "see" you all here. I enjoyed the Open Forum and would rather have seen it stay alive. I was unaware of the inclination to shut it down. In any case, it might do us all good to keep in mind we can wear out our welcome and to try to keep things civil. Jim

...it was my fault*--are you happy now? Can we all just move on?

* I complained daily to the moderators, and then finally was forced to acquire legal counsel regarding a certain individual who consistently and flagrantly failed to use a spell checker for each and every one of their posts--it was quite maddening really. Problem solved.

Kirk you weren't around to see this, but the forum had a more libertarian/coservative slant that went waytoconservative when VDude got heavily involved. The forum started to die as the coservatives couldn't get behind VDude's style. Then about the time you showed up V got banned and Spock did something got booted. You then took it waytoliberal (more civily for sure) and it went the other way, at least your posts were so numerious that it didn't leave anything untouched upon. Just kinda of cool it here and let Z and Bot start to contemplate reality - I'll build an addition this winter, but still need something to read -

It used to be very conservative not long ago. I laughed out loud when somebody refered to it as the 'liberal corner' a few days back. I think it was pretty even if you ask me.

The OD had lots of freakin smart posters who I enjoyed reading on a daily basis. Well thought out posts and great humor as well. Too bad it had to go out the way it did. But here we are now....
