Anyone Else Here a Wheel FANATIC!?!? like me?

By this, I mean, do you TOO spend HOURS on the net, stopping a swap meets and yard sales, or just driving down the street thinking about the unusual, or out of production, or limited production, or foriegn exclusive rims for your Mercedes. For example, I've seen ONE picture and one Ebay Germany ad of the the Brabus Monoblock I(???) It looked like a 19 inch version of the W140 wheel. Which is awesom to me. I often look at my 190E and think how I love the plain of 15 inch rim design, if ONLY it where 17 or 18 inches. Another rim along this line is a Rial german wheel from the 80's. Looked stock, just WAAY bigger. I also posted that link to the ONLY time I've seen ANY Walds on for private sale[:0]. Then my OTHER passion is find EXPENSIVE rims, somehow in the hands of some guy who completely has no IDEA what he has, OR knows they are suppposed to be some big whup, but doesn't really care and is just trying to get them out of his gargage. I know a guy like that near me now who has the discountinued original Carlsson 1/6, but everytime I'm ready to buy, he's not ready to sell, and vice versae. A neo classic that shall be sought after and hard to find is the new Moven M-15 Wald look alikes, though I've been in corespondes with a guy who has them now. Won't fit my 190E though.

Anyway, just wondering if I'M the only [:o)] whose demented like this. I'm like a Wheels-version of Indiana Jones.

Yes, I confess: I am a wheel fanatic..[V]

They are the most important part of the car cosmetically. I wish I had fifty sets of rims and a NASCAR team to slip them on and off as mood dictates.

When’s the next wheelanon meeting?

Big wheelaholic here! My favorite new wheel is the AMG SL-2 18" 2-piece rim that was optional on late 90's SL'S. They look so great on my 500SEC. No longer made, but new old stock can be found . They are a staggered setup. 10" in the rear & 8.5" up front. The only drawback is the price. A little over 4k for the rims alone.

One look at my E280 should explain all.

In the UAE you can all find whatever rim you are after, there are thousands to choose from (original and replicas).

HEEELLLLPPPP!!!!!

"One look at my E280 should explain all."

Yep. Explained it pretty well for me:)

"In the UAE you can all find whatever rim you are after, there are thousands to choose from (original and replicas)."

What a wheel hell you must live in.

[:p] I often think this about California. About ALL the rims in the US are distrubuted through there and NY. But Cali gets EVERY make. And the old, dicarded rims must be BOUNTIFUL. USED AMG'S must be like nothin' out there. At least it would seem to one so far removed.
