Hobbies?

What are your hobbies?

As for me, I create LEGO stuff (cars and mechs mostly), draw once in a while, mod and play GTA Vice City (cutting down on it) and play MechWarrior4 Mercs and some other games with a friend.

Used to play with my R/C Tamiya model kit but left it in the Philippines when I moved over here. Also left back were Minitrix model trains and plastic scale modelling.

Is cleaning and maintaining your car a hobby? If so then count it in as well.[:D]

RE: Hobbies?

Lots of them. I would love to hear from others who enjoy the following.

1. I collect cars. I presently own 18, almost all in concours condition. Everything from a 1933 Rolls Limo to a 1970 Plymouth Superbird. Mercedes include a 2001 s500, purchased new, a 1989 300SE, purchased new, and my new love, A 1985 500SEC.

2. Fine writing instruments, Mont Blanc being my favorite.

3. All made by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Everthing from lamps to desk sets.

4. Marklin z gauge trains.

5. New and antique paperweights, with an emphasis on French weights.

6.Gold coins, both U.S. and foreign, especially Armenian gold coins.

7. Antique mechanical toys.

8. 17th century maps

9. miniature Vienna bronzes

RE: Hobbies?

During the late seventies and early eighties I DJ’d in a few nightclubs in the Dallas area – back when it took talent using vinyl. I spun in the largest club at the time, “Packards which seated 700 to an underground club called “The Stark Club. Anyway, now that computer and software technology as advanced I like to mix songs to burn to CDs to play in the car and give to friends. There’s not much I can’t do with music on the computer, even laying down my own tracks as overlay or mixing filler. It’s one of my relaxing enjoyments.

Another main interest is collecting celebrity autographs. It’s surprising to see my investment go up in value. Some of my favorite prize collectables are:
"Pulp Fiction" original movie poster signed by: Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman, John Travolta, & Samuel L. Jackson
"Heat" original movie poster signed by: Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Natalie Portman, Tom Sizemore, Val Kilmer, Diane Venora, Ashley Judd, Wes Studi, & Amy Brenneman
“Playboy 1985 that first featured Madonna nudes, signed on the cover. Three are known to exist with her autograph since she sued Playboy for publishing the pics... Also have an autographed 45 record “Keep It Together.
Marilyn Monroe autographed 8x10 of her over the floor grate with the white dress being blown up.
Original “Vargas nude personally autographed.
And I had the honor of having Mickey Mantle personally autograph a baseball in person. I worked with his sister’s husband and went to a family BBQ… That was way cool!
Many, many more autographs to count...

And of course – restoring/working on my German cars..

91 BMW 325i Cabrio - "Tasha"
89 MB 420sel - "Helga"

RE: Hobbies?

I do some airplane, boat and car design from time to time at my spare or holiday time. I used an 256MB computer for it. It needs some patience, but I like to see the results[:D]

Here are some pictures:

I actually designed a body for my rc car, I'm currently waiting for the parts to ship. I will try to post pics when it's done.
