Anyone tried the Mr. Clean AutoDry thing yet?

Just got one while I was out shopping, though I'd give it a try. Seems like a simple enough idea, uses de-ionized water to rinse the car (4 Parts: Rinse with normal water, Water + Soap + Sponge/Mitt, Rinse with normal water, De-ionized water). With no impurities, there is nothing to leave behind when the water evaporates.

Buyer-Beware: The filter that comes with the device is only rated for 3 uses, it is a "starter" filter. The real filters have an indicator that changes from black to brown when the filter needs to be changed.

More info after I use it... on my mom's mini-van first though.

Nothing beats the good ole fashioned bay of washing by hand and drying by hand.

It works good here in nj and the water sucks everywhere lol. My dads company actually make the chemicals(polymer) that go into the soap which causes the sheening action. The water is filters and deionized to remove the hardness from the water (made by PUR water filters. I have been using it before it came out on the market and just buy a new hand wash mitt to start off with.

tried it on my moms ML would never try it on my ML. i didnt think it would work neither did my dad but wow it really does work. if you live where you get a film of dust over your car in 30min or less like Arizona you just need to use something to clean your windows but other than that it works great.

i'll try it since $10 AR

go to autodry.com and get their 5 bucks coupon.
then buy it at your local auto parts store for another 5 dollars rebate.

So you can get a starter kit for like $10 bucks ... Pepboys had it on sale for 19.99
