RE: What music do you listen to while driving?

I listen to a great variety of music while driving. Depends on my mood. During the morning commute it's talk radio and that kind of stuff. But on the way home, if I'm peaceful, I'll put on something like John Mayer, maybe even some newer Garth Brooks. But if I want to really hang it out. Something like "Chase" by Paul Oakenfold or "Born Too Slow" by The Crystal Method, that always makes the speedo needle move.

I'll throw some heavier rock in there too. But for partying with friends, nothing works better than Reel Big Fish.

Classic rock has it's merits too though, for good ol' summer time cruising, few songs beat "Instant Karma" by John Lennon. But like "Gimme some lovin'" by Spencer Davis Group, that'll get the sporty driving going. If you know anything about cheasey early 90s movies that makes sense.

I'll probably get some flak for the music I listen too, but I'm probably one of the few people that when I say I listen to everything, I can almost mean it. Except for like mexican hat dance music and stuff like that. But a good german tune never hurts.

To the OP:
Have you tried Rossini's "Thieving Magpie" from the Barber of Seville? (it's on the Clockwork Orange soundtrack) Or Mozart's Requiem? That goes with anything.

I have been listening to Aladdin Sane (Bowie) and Blondie's greatest hits. Makes me feel young again (sort of).

Oh yeah, I forgot, I'm desperate to get a tape of Alice Cooper's Killer album, that would be bliss.

The song is called Ich Will ( I want ).Rammstein is the worst band to come out of Germany. They are more popular outside of Germany than in their own country. Rarely will a station in Germany play Rammstein, they are so unpopular there. Their lyrics are condsidered to be quite right wing and they have somewhat neo-nazi tendecies some will say. Although I've never heard the lyrics to Weisses Fleisch ( white flesh ) I doubt they are good.

Germany puts out of somre really good alternative rock, like the band whose logo is to the left of this post. However Rammstein really hurts the chances for other german bands to make it in non german speaking countries.

RE: What music do you listen to while driving?

I let my pedal be my baton in all my cars, and let the high stall torque convertor help me make some original Germanic tunes, lol.

Sometimes I just listen to classical music, talk radio, or more commonly most hits from the 50's 60's and '70's.

If I listen to a song like "Headin' on the highway, LOOKIN' FOR ADVENTURE.... YAAAAAAAAHHH GOTTA GO MAKE IT HAPPEN..." I find myself in triple digit territory in no time at all. Some stuff makes you feel invincible. I drive like an a$$ and I know it at times.[:D]
