The funnest cars I have ever driven..

I used to own a tiny little Fiat 850 Sport coupe. Great fun trying to keep that on the road, especially in the wet!

A friend owns a Mini Cooper S replica (the real mini, not the BMW ones..) It is wild! It has a worked 1380cc with rock hard suspension and low-profile tyres. Theres nothing like a hot Mini for sheer fun.

Another friend has a Suzuki CXG1000 coupe. Little rear engined toy car, with a wheelbase not much longer than the track.. Absolute dynamite.

There seems to be a small car pattern here..

I also love throwing my 280SLC around, though it is a different sort of fun.

I am also a motorcycle person and there is nothing quite like a small engined, ligtweight bike for fun and thrills within a safe speed. Most true performance vehicles get all too serious for real fun on regular roads as you end up going way too fast to really enjoy the feelings.

My current truck

0-60 in under 5 seconds with a 5000lb truck is a lot of fun; thank you Kleemann!

RE: What was the funnest car u have ever driven?

Tubs300E - 1/22/2004 9:41 PM

2001 Porsche 911 Turbo, just a great handling car, and the power whooweee.......

But as far as squirly, tire smoking hang on for dear life rides, I got the opportunity to drive an old Mustang Mach 1 once, I remember throwing the car around like a maniac, tearing up the tires, then thinking, I'm trashing a piece of Detroit history. I quickly slowed to the speed limit and carefully drove to the owners garage.

The only other car I ever drove that was so fast it scared me was a Camaro Z-24 with two big turbos on it. I'm not sure of the exact horsepower but the owner told me last time he dynoed it it was somewhere around 670hp, but he had tuned it in a bit since. I never saw a tachometer and speedometer needle move so fast.

And E V12 Nerd, it scares me to think how much you'll talk about cars once you actually get your license. Brings a tear to my eye, you remind me of a young me. Obsessed hopelessly with cars. I remember when I spent hours upon hours playing Gran Turismo, racing slot cars and running around with my T-Maxx.

A year and a half ago I knew absolutely jack about cars. Cousin got me interested in AMGs and Brabus. There is a certain appeal though in driving a tiny car around the street. If the car were full scale, the tires would proportionately be 325s in front with 375 rears. Good handling, though.

2003 Ferrari 575M Maranello- That V12 music made my knees weak and the launch control system is very trick!

Also, a 550 WHP Mitsu Evo VIII- absolutely ridiculous!!!

E V12 Nerd - 1/21/2004 7:40 PM

My funnest car ive driven is my Micro RS4(an rc car), i dont have a DL yet. ive hopped it up, and theres more ill put on it to make it faster
Had an R/C car too before, Ford Escort RS Cosworth rally car kit from Tamiya with Futaba transmitter and receiver. Used to chase cats, dogs and cars back in the Philippines. (I know, I'm evil)

I would also try to see how far it goes without losing control! [:D] Got as far as half a block (of Philippine streets, say around 200meters? or less maybe)...

Racer BVD,
"The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should
be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the
safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself"
