I've followed this thread with great interest. At the onset of the war (3/18/03) , I wrote <a href="http://www.benzworld.org/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=60483&mid=60607&fid=29#M60607" target=new>this</a> post, which reveals my opinion, then and now.

No he's not - he's a legal immigrant. He wishes he was an American. The problem I have is that he's taken this view due to him thinking it's the "American" line. In his desperation to become an American, he thinks the right-wing line is the national line, which it isn't.
tcp is a friend of mine. I visited with him on a recent trip out West. You don't know him, but I do. His intellect, world knowledge and understanding of the human condition are far superior to yours. I don't always agree with him, but I respect the time and thought he puts into his posts here. He's also a gentle, generous and compassionate person. He doesn't pretend to be something he isn't. In fact, he is what I wish more Americans were - a student of history, intellectually curious, caring, etc. So you think "he's taken this view due to him thinking it's the "American" line"? He is his own man - no one puts words in his mouth. Your claim is patently ridiculous.
Also, just FYI, he's a pretty big guy. Are you sure you want to piss off someone who could break you in half like a chicken bone? [:0] Of course, I'm sure it won't come to that. tcp seems more in control of his emotions than you.
As to this remark ...
I have the right to petition the Department of Homeland Security to revoke his alien status.
Why? For disagreeing with you on a public forum? LOL! If you're the American you proclaim to be, please re-read the Bill of Rights. Public dissent in the US isn't a right - its our patriotic duty. And, your proposal to banish tcp from the US (for daring to disagree) smacks of the very ethnic cleansing you purportedly abhor. I can't tell from your posts exactly WHAT you're trying to say, to be honest.
