My apologies Ian, I failed at just using a funny reference to the TV show

you named your ML after.

No ill intention was motivating my post.

Regarding your reference to tcpgv, I don't think it would be fair to label him an idiot, but it is your prerogative if you wish to do so.

I don't try to be a flame troll (?), I just like to laugh every once in a while, and I'm sorry if you felt offended, I was not laughing at your expense.

Like you, I don't think I got what I expect out of the ML purchase, but I still love the truck for all that has been engineered and manufactured very well on it. I'm just not counting the rattles and squeaks any more, espcially since I've heard three MB techs joking about the three ways to get rid of these annoyances in the ML
1) WD40
2) Felt
3) Turn the radio volume up

RE: My apologies Ian, I failed at just using a funny reference to the TV show

No offense taken, all in good fun. A case of me overreacting, again.

No comment for tcpgv - not getting into that mess.

flametroll - I made it up - I meant it to mean that someone who is out there intnetionally saying silly things just to get flamed it trolling for it - hence, a flametroll.

And yes, it's amazing what the radio will cover up.

RE: What is your pet name for your Benz?

The ML is "the black one" or "the truck."
My wife's E is "the white one" or "the car."

Every few weeks, when something goes wrong, I refer to the ML as "this piece of ****!"

Gee as a group there isn't a whole lot of creativity here.[:D]

My wife called her old Datsun/Nisson Sentra Murphy because anything that could go wrong with it did go wrong. (of course that was 22 years ago...

I call mine Matilda, so do my friends, they get a kick out of the fact that i have named my car,i have convinced a few of my friends to name their car also.
My mom has been calling my car Tilly recently also.

Matilda use to be an acronym but i ended up liking the name.
